Adding nutritious beans to your diet

Three bean Salad

1 can of organic kidney beans

1 can of organic chickpeas

1 can of organic pinto beans

1 can of sweet corn

4 ounces of roasted green chillies, diced (optional)

1/4 cup parsley, chopped

2 stalks of celery, sliced super thin (and any other chopped  vegetables you may have in fridge)

2 red onions, thinly sliced

Add your favourite dressing

Arrange on top of bed of butter head lettuce

Nutrient value

Beans are a  cheap, tasty and non perishable food that can be easily added to many receipies.  They are a great source of protein , b vitamins , iron and fibre.  They also contain magnesium  and many phytonutrients which can be lacking in the modern  diet of processed foods.
