Make your own Almond Milk!

Ingredients:

4 ozs of almonds, soaked overnight

2 1/2 pints of water

1 tsp of vanilla essence

4 tsp of honey (optional)

Directions:

Drain the almonds

Blend the nuts with the water

Strain through a nut bag or muslin cloth

Add the vanilla essence and honey, blend and serve.

Takes only a few minutes to make. Almonds are rich in protein and fibre and good fats. They also contain magnesium, calcium, iron and Vitamin E. So a good dairy-free alternative. Enjoy!
