FAQ’s

I’ve listed here the most common questions I’m contacted about but if you have any others or are curious about my work then drop me an email.

Who is this program suitable for?

This program is suitable anyone that is serious about up-levelling their health and wellbeing. It is not a ‘quick-fix’ solution and will require commitment. We will look at lifestyle factors as well dietary, and changes may be needed there too.

Note: If you have a pre-diagnosed medical condition you do need to get approval from your GP or medical team before starting any new nutrition & lifestyle protocol.

Will you give me a meal plan?

I may give sample meal plans and recipes to help you incorporate new foods. However, I prefer to look at what you’re currently cooking / eating and make suggestions based on this.

I also aim to all educate you on the foods right for you over our sessions, so that you feel able to adapt your current recipes to suit your needs going forward.

I've tried various health programs in the past, but I've never completed them. How is this different?

This program is different in two ways. First we’ll both set your health goals together. I have all the advice and know-how for the best protocol for you, but that may not be what you need or feel able to do right now. So we’ll work together to find the right fit for you and take it from there.

Secondly, the 1-1 sessions and instant messaging access to me will give you accountability to make and stick with those changes you have agreed upon. I believe having someone to check in with on a regular basis creates the outcomes you’re looking for. That’s the role I play as a mentor. 

We can find a way to keep you accountable that works for you – I can leave you to your own devices between sessions, or check-in with you weekly, or daily if you need via email or messaging.  

Another key point of accountability is that we stick to the 10-week time frame. Continually stretching out the sessions and not implementing the agreed protocols won’t give you the desired outcome, so I will flag this if I see cancelling and shifting sessions becomes too regular. This is done from a place of love and wanting change, which is why you’ve booked to work with me.

What is the Basics of Nourished nutrition course for? Why do I need it?

I have found with many of my clients that once they understand the reason for my recommendations it is easier to make and stick with those changes. However, putting all this additional detail into the food & lifestyle protocols makes them long and too confusing to follow.

By putting this additional information into a webinar-styled education approach allows my clients to take on the information at their leisure and come back to as they need to. 

What health conditions do you cover as part of this program?

Gut health is my main area of interest, and with that I have worked with clients suffering with constipation, diarrhoea and bloating. However, as I work through a gut-centred approach to health & wellbeing this would also support better heart health, as well as hormonal and other health complaints.

Note: If you have a pre-diagnosed health complaint, you do need to get approval from your GP or medical team before starting any new nutrition & lifestyle protocol. 

 

How many times will I need to see you for consultations?

This package includes 5 sessions in total. If you feel need additional sessions beyond the package this can be discussed towards the end of the package.

Do you offer a payment plan?

I offer a 3 month payment plan as standard for this 10 week package. If you need to pay over a longer period in smaller instalments, we can discuss the option to extend the plan further. 

Will my health insurance cover my sessions at The Nutrition Clinic?

Health insurance providers in Ireland offer an array of benefits to their members depending on the plan they are on. Here is Irish Life’s benefits page, which offers cashback for Nutritional Therapy visits.
