When you eat pro-inflammatory foods e.g. sugar, refined flours and processed foods, you increase inflammation and reduce the beneficial bacteria in your gut. This can cause ‘leaky-gut’, nutritional deficiencies as well as the common digestive complaints like bloating, constipation, food intolerances to name a few.

This first step supports you in removing the most common pro-inflammatory foods and increases foods to support proper digestion and calm the inflammation. During this we will delve into your current health concern, look into your current diet in detail and answer any questions you may have on the area in question.

You will be taken directly to my client management software, Practice Better, where you can pick a date and time to suit you. You will be asked what area in particular you would like to focus on. You will also be asked to create an account in Practice Better. This is a secure platform through which you'll receive all your recommendations.

You’ll then receive a detailed questionnaire for you to tell me exactly why you’ve booked the power hour, any health complaints, medications, and supplements that you may already be taking. A 3-day diet journal is also requested so that I can see exactly where you are now in terms of diet and what changes are needed.

During the session we will go through your current health goal in detail along with your current food diary.

After the session I’ll send you a personalised protocol full of tips and tricks to implementing your new food and lifestyle changes. Additional information sheets and resources will also be sent to you if necessary so that you fully understand the ‘why’ behind the changes you want to make

Who is a Nourishing Power Hour for?

A power hour is for anyone who has very little digestive complaints but just needs advice on how to alleviate them naturally, or who feels they already have a reasonably good diet but is confused on how to make it better.

I love helping people make the best of their health by making small changes to their diet and lifestyle.

All my recommendations are things that I have researched and learned to incorporate into my own life on a daily basis. I have seen the benefits in my own and family’s’ health from doing so and I love empowering others to make the same changes to feel the benefit.

Can I book multiple Power hour sessions?

No, sorry..

Power Hours are very much one-off sessions into a specific health area that you want to cover and they offer a short follow-up for accountability. While these are personalised to your situation and will improve your health & wellbeing, they may not go far enough for more chronic complaints.

If you have chronic digestive complaints or you have already tried one-off sessions, but feel need extra support and accountability then I would recommend my Optimum Gut programme. With the structured approach in that programme, along with the follow-up sessions I would be better able to support you in identifying your triggers and healing your gut for long-term health.

What happens if I find that I need more support after the Power Hour session?

That’s no problem at all. We can look at transferring you over to the Optimum Gut Package. Your initial session as part of the Nourishing Power session will be taken into account and the cost of the 6 month package will be adjusted.
